RFQ compliant contractors. Same job. Same proof path.

Go to market when the preferred book can’t cover

Maintenance work chased to completion

Your approved contractors get the first call. When they can’t cover a trade, a region or a date, find vetted tradies with an RFQ on the same work order, clear compliance onboarding before dispatch, then chase to done-with-proof — on one board across every site.

One site or fifty. A trade organisation chasing this work instead? Join as a vendor.

When the book can’t cover, the fallback is a phone tree

Coverage gaps are where maintenance goes sideways — the regional site with no fire contractor, the sparky who is three days out, the trade you have never needed until now. So somebody starts ringing around to find contractors nobody has vetted, the job record stops matching reality, and the close-out pack never arrives. OpsChase makes that moment a step on the work order instead: go to market, compare vetted tradies, onboard the winner, finish with proof.

Go to market on a work order

Work order, RFQ, compliance onboarding, SLA attend, proof. Seven steps, one record — nothing here asks your team to leave the job and start again somewhere else.

Tracking progress across sites
  1. 01

    Raise the work order

A site manager reports the fault. Ops triage it into a work order with site, trade, priority and an SLA attend time.

  2. 02

    Preferred book first

Your approved contractors are offered the job before anyone else. Most work orders stop here, and that is the point.

  3. 03

Go to market when the book can’t cover

No cover for that trade or region, or everyone is at capacity? Open an RFQ from the same work order instead of starting a phone tree.

  4. 04

    Find and compare vetted tradies

Request quotes from prequalified trade organisations matching the trade and coverage area, then compare price, lead time and inclusions side by side.

  5. 05

    Compliance onboarding before dispatch

Insurance, licences, safety documents and references are verified against your requirements. Assignment stays blocked until the pack clears.

  6. 06

Award on the same work order

Shortlist, award, and the winning quote becomes the assignment on that record. One job, one history, no re-keying.

  7. 07

    Chase to done-with-proof, then invoice

SLA attend, proof of completion and close-out packs apply exactly as they do for a preferred contractor. Then the invoice lands on the same job.

What you get when you go to market

Quoting, compliance onboarding and proof of completion on the record your team already works from — and a way to turn a good vendor into a preferred contractor.

Operations board with work orders across sites

RFQ on the same work order

Going to market is a step on the job, not a second tool. The scope, site, photos and attend-by time the RFQ inherits are the ones your team already raised.

Supplier compliance and onboarding

Compliance onboarding once

Public liability, workers compensation, licences, safety method statements and references sit on the trade organisation. Verified once, reused on the next job, so whoever you award is already prequalified.

Proof photos and certificates on the work order

Same proof and invoice path

Marketplace winners accept, attend, upload proof of completion and invoice on the same spine as your preferred contractors. You do not run a second process.

Portfolio dashboards and spend reporting

Coverage controls, not a broadcast

You choose the audience: preferred only, market, or both — filtered by trade and the regions a vendor actually services. Your job is never posted to the public.

Tradie portal across customers

One board across every site

Preferred work and marketplace overflow sit in the same multi-site queue — open jobs, attend-by times, chase status and overdue proof, one site or fifty.

Chase timers and SLA escalations

A path onto your preferred book

A vendor who attends on time and closes out cleanly can be promoted onto your approved register. The market becomes a way to recruit, not a habit.

What you see on screen

Coverage, quotes, onboarding and the handover after the award — the four views that decide whether going to market saves you time or costs you a week.

Portfolio dashboards and spend reporting

Coverage gaps, not guesswork

Before you go to market, see what your book can actually take. Trade by trade and region by region, with capacity and standing cover in one view — so opening an RFQ is a decision backed by evidence, not a hunch at 4pm.

Dashboards that keep the book in front

How much work stayed with your regulars, where you had to go to market, and which vendors are still in onboarding. If the overflow line starts climbing, that is a coverage problem to fix — not a new normal.

Preferred book first. Marketplace second.

Two columns, one order of operations. If you are reaching for the right-hand column every week, the fix is a better book — and the market is how you build one.

Preferred book

Default

Your approved contractor register. This is where day-to-day maintenance belongs, and where OpsChase spends most of its effort.

  • Your approved register ranks who gets offered the job first
  • Rates, site knowledge and induction already settled
  • Chase ladders nudge the trade office before your managers
  • Most work orders start and finish here
See the chase-to-proof spine

Marketplace

Overflow

The pressure valve for coverage gaps. Quieter than your day-to-day flow by design — you should not need it often.

  • Opens only when the book can’t cover the trade, region or date
  • Vetted tradies quote against the scope you already wrote
  • Winners clear compliance onboarding before a first dispatch
  • Good performers can be promoted onto the preferred book
What an RFQ is

A contractor marketplace, not a directory

Lead directories and job boards are good at discovery and stop there. This is coverage inside the job you already raised — vetted, gated on compliance, and chased to proof.

Directories and lead boards

  • Introduces you to a stranger, then leaves
  • Lives outside your job record, so the history splits in two
  • Compliance is a phone call and a PDF someone emails later
  • Measures leads delivered, not jobs closed

OpsChase marketplace

  • Offered on a work order your team already raised
  • One record from raise to proof of completion and invoice
  • Compliance onboarding gates the first dispatch
  • Measures attend within SLA and close-out packs returned

How pricing works
What is the OpsChase marketplace?
It is the overflow path on a work order. When your preferred contractors can’t cover a job, you go to market with an RFQ, compliant trade organisations quote, and the winner clears compliance onboarding before being dispatched. It is part of your operations software, not a separate site.
Is the marketplace instead of preferred contractors?
No. The preferred book is the default and most work orders never leave it. Going to market is for gaps — a trade you have no cover for, a region you have just moved into, or a week when your regulars are booked out.
How does going to market work on a work order?
From the job itself. The RFQ inherits the site, trade, scope, photos and attend-by time, quotes come back against that record, and the award becomes the assignment on the same work order. There is one history, not a job here and an email chain there.
Do marketplace tradies need compliance before dispatch?
Yes. Compliance onboarding covers insurance, workers compensation, trade licences, safety method statements and references against the requirements you set per trade. A work order cannot be assigned until the pack is verified and unexpired.
Do marketplace jobs still require proof of completion?
Yes, and to the same standard. Accept, SLA attend, then photos, checklists, signatures and certificates. Completion stays blocked until the close-out pack matches your template — exactly as it does for a preferred contractor.
What is the difference between Marketplace and Vendors?
Same platform, two sides. This page is for operators who need coverage. The vendors page is the supply side, for trade organisations that want to pass compliance and quote on RFQs.
Is this only for multi-site operators, or one site too?
Both. Single-site teams feel a coverage gap just as hard — often harder, because there is no sister site to borrow a contractor from. Multi-site operators get the same flow with one board across every location.
How is this different from a job board or a tradie finder?
A directory introduces you to a stranger and stops there. OpsChase offers the job to vetted trade organisations from inside your own work order, gates them on compliance, then chases them to done-with-proof. Nobody buys leads and no job is posted publicly.
Who sees an RFQ — can we control trade and coverage?
You set the audience: preferred contractors only, the market, or both. Invitations are matched to the trade and to the regions a trade organisation actually services, so the request reaches relevant vendors rather than being broadcast.
What happens after we accept a marketplace quote?
The award becomes the assignment, compliance onboarding is cleared if it is not already, and the contractor joins your normal flow: accept, attend within the SLA, upload proof of completion, then invoice from the same job.

See a coverage gap turn into a closed job

We will walk one of your hard sites: what your book covers, where you would go to market, what compliance onboarding asks for, and how the close-out pack lands.

  • Bring your existing contractor list — we start there, not from scratch
  • Single-site and multi-site teams both welcome
  • No public job feed, ever — going to market stays your decision
